Love Heals All

Time heals all things”

“It just takes time

Society often uses these phrases when consoling someone during a time of grief.

However, as nice as those phrases may sound, I have come to realize that while it does take time for healing to take place, it’s not actually the time that heals, it’s Love {Jesus}.

{Jesus} heals all wounds.

The words spoken, cutting so deep they broke your heart.

The spouse who broke your marriage vow, ripping your heart to shreds.

The friend who betrayed you when you needed them the most.

Those wounds are deep, but friend I promise you, Jesus’ Love is deeper!

wounds - jesus

I think of the cross.

I think of the excruciating pain Jesus suffered, on my behalf, & tears stream down my face.

Though horrible as it was, the pain Jesus suffered wasn’t merely physical.

The pain you feel deep inside, that’s the pain Jesus bore on the cross, for you & for me!

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities;
the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us
was upon Him,
and with the stripes [that wounded] Him
we are healed and made whole.

Isaiah 53:5 AMP

Love heals all wounds.

Regardless of how deep the wound goes, there is only One who can heal at the deepest core of your pain.

Only One who can satisfy your yearning for wholeness and peace:

Friend, you may be walking around with a gaping wound in your heart.

You may feel rejected, alone, scorned, betrayed & broken.

Jesus bore all that pain for you & me when He hung there on the cross.

And when He uttered “It is finished”, He longed for you to embrace those words & believe:

Your pain is finished. Your wounds are healed.

I consider it a joy to come along side you and lift you up to Jesus, the Healer of all Wounds.

If there’s anything I can pray with you regarding, feel free to email me:

Love {Jesus} has Healed me, & my heart is forever grateful.

Friend, I pray the same for you.

  3. Wow! I’ve never paid close attention to the correlation of Jesus’ words “It is finished” with a promise that he wants our pain to be over…for us to just let it go and give it over to him so he can finish it off for us. Thank you for that insight.

  4. Thank you for your words and thank you for pointing those in pain to Jesus. He is the true and only source of real joy! There is such beauty in learning to lean on His love; His healing at the cross when the our world and circumstances are falling apart. Praise God for His rescue plan and love for us even when we still hated Him!

  5. Beautiful insight! When I think of all he suffered for me/us I’m overwhelmed by it all. I don’t want to ever take his love/life for granted. I’m in awe of someone that would die for me and love me that deeply. It makes me ashamed of all times I’ve doubted and feared. I hope you have a blessed, reflective, quiet Easter!

  6. Satin, thank you. Thank you for sharing these precious words. Truth that brings healing and hope. Love that lowered himself that we might know His love. I have always been amazed at his final cry. “It is finished” and I too have been reflecting on it this week.

    • Thank you for stopping by, Rebekah! I too enjoyed reading your own post. This week has produced some amazing Truth reminders, across the land, as we all ponder His great Sacrifice & Salvation this Easter. Much love to you! ♥

  7. Oh yes! It’s only His love that brings healing! Such beautiful things to meditate on here.

  8. Brings me to tears too Satin how by his wounds and love we are healed. Thank you for putting into words what lays in our hearts this Holy Week. Jesus’s love is deeper than our pain and wounds. That the pain we feel is the pain He bore on the cross for us. Indeed just as He said, “it is finished.” Happy Easter Satin. God bless you!
